ABOUT ME

Hi! I’m Cindy Panzera, a Sydney-based content writer, contract copywriter and communications expert. My professional career spans almost two decades, specialising in corporate communications, brand building, content marketing, media relations, corporate events, thought leadership, product marketing and internal communications.

While I have expertise across many different industries, I currently work with brands and companies that operate in the areas of liquor, wine, FMCG/grocery, retail, and consumer and media research.

I’ve collaborated with many different corporate leadership teams to develop and implement marketing and communications initiatives that have delivered positive commercial outcomes.

 MY BACKGROUND

While still completing my Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) at Macquarie University, I was lucky enough to be selected to join the graduate program for the world’s largest market research agency, Nielsen. Starting in 2001, I used Nielsen’s retail and consumer behaviour data research to analyse brand performance and find new growth opportunities for my portfolio of FMCG clients. I worked with several iconic international and local grocery manufacturers including Sanitarium, Campbell’s Arnott’s, Ferrero, Barilla, ACP, Green’s General Foods and Real Foods.

In 2005, I joined Nielsen’s Marketing and Communications team and was promoted to Associate Director for the Pacific in 2010 to lead the company’s internal and external communications initiatives – a combination of locally-driven activity and global directives requiring in-market execution. I also created, curated, pitched and published Nielsen’s digital content on the latest consumer, retailing and media trends.

I started my own consulting company in 2012 and continued to work with Nielsen as Content Marketing Director managing insights stories for both the retail and media divisions across Australia and New Zealand. In 2020, I was appointed Senior Communications Consultant for Liquor Marketing Group (LMG), Australia’s largest membership-owned retail liquor group representing more than 1,400 independent liquor stores, to elevate the profile of its corporate brand.

I currently work with a number of clients from large international firms, to iconic Australian brands, family-run businesses and start-ups, across a range of different industries, on their content, communications and media relations initiatives.

Outside of work, I am the proud mumma of three beautiful, but very busy and always hungry kidlets (four if you include the man-child hubby). My favourite sport is online shopping (I am REALLY good at it!) and I have a profound and passionate love for life’s most delicious C-words: Coffee, Champagne, Carbohydrates and Cake.
